Weight Loss

For the boarding of overweight treatment , we have two types of diet: traditional Hypocaloric Individualized Diet, and mainly and most used day after day, the Proteic Support Diet.

In both cases, pararel adjuvant work with medical esthetical treatments will be very beneficiary to get a impovement on local fat, cellulitis and flaccidity, aesthetic problems that walk hand by hand with overweight. Among these treatments, in our clinic we highlight body mesotherapy, LPG, and carboxitherapy, designing different protocols for each patient, depending on what he/she needs, and the agreed amount of weight to loose.

Proteic Support Diet

Proteic Support Diet (PSD) consists of varying the percentage of macronutrients we use to ingest: proteins, carbohidrates (sugar) and fat.

With PSD we change the proportion of those macronutrients, basicaly lowering the fat and carbohidrates support, and introducing high biologic ratio proteins obtained mainly from soy and peas, from exhaustively sanitary controlled crops. This way, we will induce a "natural" situation in which our body, not counting on the used support of energy from grass and sugars, , is forced to look for another source of energy. At this stage, an alternative metabolic way starts, and it will use its own fat reserve (storaged in those areas that bother us the most) and will transform it into energy. This process is known as Ketosis. By doing so, we guarantee a selected loose of weight at the expense of fat mass, preserving muscle mass; this will be a key point when keeping the balanced weight in long term.

Proteic Support Diet comprises 2 phases: the first one is more active, ketogenic, and the patient will loose the 70% of the accorded weight. The second one, not less important, consist of food reeducation. In that phase all kinds of food are slowly reintroduced, following rythmonutrition rules, till a complete and balance diet is reached, and it will help us to keep the weight in long term.

Proteic Support Diet requires a strict medical control, since it needs an individual clinical and analytical following for each patient all along the process.
